Contact: Suzanne Bell
Salary: L15 - L19
Job Type:
Full Time
Closing Date: Midday on Friday 9th May 2014
Interview Date: Thursday 15th May 2014

We seek to appoint an exceptional leader and outstanding classroom practitioner for September 2014.

We are looking for a flexible, creative individual who will help us to maintain/go beyond ‘Outstanding’.  We expect the person to learn quickly, have immediate impact and be ready to move on to Vice Principal posts within 3 years.

You will need great people skills, reserves of resilience and enthusiasm and a capacity for sustained hard work. Perhaps most importantly you will be positive, optimistic and have a can-do attitude to anything that will benefit FSG Girls.

Applications from individuals with experience outside the selective sector or from different areas are especially welcome as we are looking for new ideas and for someone who will add a different perspective to the work of the Leadership Team.

Your role will include responsibility for key areas of school improvement; you will have a large degree of autonomy and will be able to make a difference.

The exact role will depend on the successful candidate’s skills and experience and will be negotiated with the rest of the Team.

We are a National Support School and as such can be called upon to assist other schools.

A willingness to engage in cross-school support would also be an asset and previous experience as a successful Head of a Core Department or SLE would be especially useful.
