Sixth Form Bursary

16–19 BURSARY FUND INFORMATION 2026/2027

The 16-19 Bursary Fund provides financial support to help students overcome specific barriers whilst completing post 16 courses, so they can remain in education. Use of the Bursary

Sixth Formers are encouraged to apply for a bursary as soon as possible filling in the application form (linked below) and returning it to Mrs N Foster - School Finance Manager.

Alongside consideration for travel needs the bursary fund is available to support students with their educational expenses needed for their studies. For example, books and equipment they need to purchase for their courses, school trips, travel to attend Post 18 further education/training open days, examination re-sits and re-marks alongside any other expenses they feel will be needed to support them in post 16 education. Students awarded a bursary will also automatically receive funds added directly to their canteen account each week to use their ID card to purchase food in school.

Terms and Conditions   All bursaries are paid subject to students meeting attendance and performance criteria, as stated on the application form.
