Great Britain Robotics Team
Congratulations to Team Meglabyte, who have been selected to represent Great Britain!
The Folkestone School for Girls robotics team, Team Meglabyte, are thrilled to be representing Great Britain at the First Global Challenge in South Korea.
The team is made up of five enthusiastic students, who share a passion for robotics and hope to inspire the next generation to engage in STEM. They underwent a tough application process open to all robotics teams in GB, this included submitting a video, a portfolio and taking part in interviews.
The competition is an olympic-style event taking place in the city of Incheon, Korea in October 2026. The team will be hard at work building their robot over the summer.

Our Campaign
Our main goal for the Great Britain robotics team is to inspire, promote STEM, and educate. Uniting a diverse range of communities across the entire world through robotics. We are proud to represent Great Britain on a global scale, all-whilst creating a long lasting impact across the UK. Through public engagement we aim to encourage individuals from all backgrounds to explore the exciting opportunities available in STEM and to break down barriers and stereotypes that stop people from getting started.
Our outreach will reach young people across Folkestone, Kent and the whole of Great Britain and we can't wait to get everyone involved in the projects we have planned. More details of how you can get involved will be posted soon.
