Christmas 2025

Please see below for details of the Christmas and end of term 2 arrangements for 2025.

Monday 1st December

Reverse Advent Calendar boxes from form rooms should be taken to the foyer during morning registration.

Thursday 4th December

Y7 Parents Evening (school will close at 2.30pm).

Friday 5th December

Christmas Concert 6pm to 7.30pm. Tickets are available on Wisepay.

Tuesday 16th December

Christmas Mince Pie Show 6pm to 7.15pm. Details of tickets to follow.

Thursday 18th December

The FSG Christmas Jumper (optional) tag day at a cost of £1 (please pay via Wisepay and all proceeds will go to our school charity) and Christmas Dinner (just £2.90). We would like as many students to attend as possible, as it is a festive event and the community police will be attending with their photobooth. There will be a reduced break service on this day and only a full Christmas lunch will be available. There will be no salad bar, sandwich service or Pod.

Friday 19th December

Carol Service

We will be holding our annual Christmas Service at Holy Trinity Church, Sandgate Road, Folkestone for students in Years 9-13. Students should make their own way there to be registered in their house tutor groups at 8.40am. They will then be escorted into the Church by their Form Tutor for the service, which will begin at 9am. Following the service, students will walk back to school with their tutors.

In addition to their school uniform, students should wear suitable warm clothing, which is smart enough for the church service, but warm enough for sitting in the church and the walk back to school. To avoid any confusion, only very adverse weather conditions would cause us to cancel. In the unlikely event of this being necessary, a message will be placed on the school’s website, sent via an email message and posted on the KCC Kent Closures website.

Due to the size of the school, the church can no longer accommodate all year groups, therefore students in Y7 and 8 will stay at school and attend form parties in their tutor groups.

Early Closure

School will finish at 1.30pm. Crosskeys will pick up from the school at this time. If you would prefer us to supervise your daughter in school until 3.30pm, please email their SDL by Tuesday 16th December 2025, so we can make the necessary arrangements. Everyone else will be able to use their bus passes on the stagecoach buses.

There will be no school lunch service on this day and instead a combined break/lunch brunch service at 10.05am. Typically, very few students partake on the last day (full up from sweets and cake at form parties!) but we will offer limited paninis and pasta pots alongside the usual breaktime offer.
